Raising money for charity is part of life at Grange Park Infant & Nursery School, and the importance of helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves is taught early in the children’s school career. We raise money for numerous appeals throughout the year – you can view some of our latest fundraising achievements below.

Poppy Appeal

During the annual Poppy Appeal, the school raised £141.38 from the sale of poppies. This money goes directly to the Royal British Legion, which supports ex-servicemen and women in the UK. We would like to thank all parents, carers and children for their generosity.

Sponsored Walk for the Mayor of Hillingdon’s Charitable Trust

On Monday 1st April 2019, the children took part in a Sponsored Walk in the playground for the Mayor of Hillingdon’s Charitable Trust. The Trust supports three charitable causes:

  • The Peter Pan and Wendy Paediatric Wards at Hillingdon Hospital

  • Phab Hillingdon, which provides residential activity weeks for children with disabilities

  • Friends of Grangewood School, a school for children with severe learning needs

The school raised a fantastic £300 which will add to the funds raised by the Mayor having completed his own Sponsored Walk.

The Mayor wanted to thank all our parents and carers for donating, and the children for taking part so sensibly.

BBC Children in Need

We have supported BBC Children in Need for many years, and this year we held a Non-Uniform Day and children also brought their favourite soft toy to school.

Our parents, children and staff raised £357 for the charity – a wonderful total which will be going to help some of the most disadvantaged children and families across the UK and abroad.
