Coronavirus

Updated 26th August 2021

Children are expected to attend each day if they are well. Grange Park Infant & Nursery School continue to follow our coronavirus precautions and procedures set out in our Risk Assessment below.

Please do not bring your child to school if your child or someone in your household has:

  • a high temperature

  • a new, continuous cough

  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.

In this case, your child must not come to school and should remain at home for at least 10 days from the date when their symptoms appeared. Anyone with symptoms will be eligible for a PCR test (the normally available test type) and this can be arranged via https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 119.

All other household members who remain well, must stay at home and not leave the house for 10 days. This includes anyone in your ‘Support Bubble’.

Staggered Timings for Main School from 2nd September 2021

  • We will continue to maintain a one way system and social distancing for now.

  • We will review these arrangements soon after the children start back.

  • Timings for the start and finish of the day are unlikely to change until the October Half Term so that parents can make arrangements for work.

  • As before Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will use the Nursery Gate on Balmoral Drive to enter the school. Use the big Field Gate to exit – also on Balmoral Drive.

  • If you have more than one child to drop, then drop off the youngest child first then the next youngest and so on, a staff member will welcome any siblings who arrive earlier than their allocated time. It is more important not to have adults waiting around

  • Please enter and leave the school site immediately after dropping and picking up your child as you can see we have staggered times for every year group and this planning has been co-ordinated with the junior school arrival and leaving times.

  • Please continue to wear a mask when you are on the school site.
